Considerations in Curriculum Developments: philosophical, psychological, sociological considerations; Theories of Curriculum Development; contributions of selected thinkers on curriculum development ( Ausubel, Gagne, Piaget, Bruner, Bloom, Polya);selection, organization and sequence of content in the mathematics curriculum; current developments in teaching high school algebra, geometry, and arithmetic operations; use of electronic calculators and computers in teaching mathematics; role of language in teaching and learning mathematics; implications of mathematics curriculum for daily life and in technology; perceptions and attitudes to mathematics; popularization of mathematics; Unit planning, school based curriculum development programmes in mathematics; students’ individual differences when teaching mathematics; evaluation of the mathematics resources and the mathematics curriculum; evolution of the Kenyan mathematics curriculum.
