This course spreads over both first and second semester of the fourth year of study. Each student will be required to undertake a practical project under the supervision of a member of staff; Guidance shall be given to ensure selection of a relevant topic suited to individual interest, experience and skills; Assessment will be based on seminars, continuous assessment, a comprehensive technical report and practical demonstration where it applies. The technical report shall not be more than 8,000 words.
